Provide support to managers and department heads.  Answer incoming calls and direct them to the correct person.  Greet clients, directing them to the proper department.  Handle calendaring and scheduling for managers and office personnel

Nov. 2013 to March 2016       Nuance Transcription Services,

                                                Burlington, Massachusetts

Worked from home part-time as a medical language specialist trained on the EditScript platform V.9.1.  Worked in transcription editing for a large hospital.  Several practice areas, many types of documents. Produced about 200 lines per hour at an accuracy rate of 98.6%.

February 98 to Dec. 2012       Congenital Heart Surgery Service,

                                                Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, Texas

Sept 2010 TO Dec 2012:    Administrative Assistant.  Returned to Congenital Heart Surgery after being requested by Lesa Porterfield for temporary assignment under contractor (ComForce).  Focus of job now became transcription editing and transcription from digital audio.  Same types of documents as below. Answered phones (light volume), tracked work, and maintained patient files.  Proofed scientific papers for Dr. Adachi.

Jan 2000 to Aug 2009:     Senior Transcriptionist.  Transcribed consults, op notes, discharge summaries, death notes, and correspondence from audio tape for several doctors.  Posted completed electronic medical records.  Maintained work log and tracked documents for signatures.  File room work when transcription was slow.  Maintained cross reference list for numeric files.

Feb 1998 TO Jan 2000:       Employment with Texas Children's Hospital as a contract worker through Temporary Connection.  Duties included transcription, spreadsheet design, PowerPoint presentations, and general office work.  Eight months of proofing scientific papers for the Director of Perfusion Research at Texas Children's Hospital.
